Debit card users

Unlike credit cards, debit cards and gift cards reserve the initial subscription amount.  Your account is not billed until after the free trial expires.  However your bank, or the gift card issuer, places a hold on the subscription amount.  If you cancel, the reserve is removed by your financial institution or the gift card issuer based on their processing timetable.  Typically the hold is removed immediately or within a few hours.
